Styles of Yoga

At Yoga Bindu, you can practice two primary styles of yoga:

  • Hatha Yoga is a combination of postures, breathing exercises and other techniques to promote flexibility, build strength, reduce stress, and bring the body, mind, and spirit into balance.
  • Kundalini is an intense physical practice to stimulate the nervous system and bring deeper awareness of the body's electromagnetic field.

Class Descriptions

  • Beginning Hatha is basic, gentle, and slow-paced. Good for anyone new to yoga, those with special concerns or injuries, and seniors. Includes meditation and pranayama.
  • Gentle Beginning Hatha is a great class to unwind. The emphasis is on pranayama and meditation with slow, easy asanas to support the breathing exercises. If you've never done yoga, if you like an easy-does-it style, or if you like more time for meditation and pranayama, this is for you.
  • Pranayama & Restoratives is calming breath exercises and postures done with the support of props to deeply, yet gently, relax the body and mind.
  • Kundalini is an intense practice to stimulate the nervous system and bring deeper awareness of the body's electromagnetic field. Includes meditation and pranayama.
  • All Levels is an eclectic combination of yoga styles that is suitable for all student levels. Includes meditation and pranayama.
  • Flow is series of poses linked through sun salutations to bring heat and purify the body and mind. Includes meditation and pranayama.

Private sessions available. Call 310-521-9555 for details.
